Hello Sovereign Sisters!
I’ve been having an exploration on creative healing & expression, so I would love to discuss this topic.
Reconnecting to my creativity has been a game-changer. It has uplifted and moved me into the arms of Divine Love deeper by daring me to acknowledge all of me, including the parts unloved, difficult to look at + be with, and to love myself regardless.
Including my creativity, which I have had a painful relationship of rejection & perfectionism with. It is an intrinsic part of myself that was never validated or appreciated growing up.
For so many years I allowed myself to block my inner creativity, joy, and sexual energy which in return dampened my connection with myself.
Today, let’s explore how you can begin honoring your creativity as well as learning to actually *listen* to the call of the creative muse within you.
The Collective Conditioning on Creativity
We become conditioned; trained, taught, and programmed in how to think & view the world; to see mental thinking, logic, science, reason, etc. to have more importance and value in society than the arts, music, humanities, and creativity.
And it’s because we are conditioned to view STEM subjects as more important, we begin to “devalue” our creativity.
(By creativity I don’t strictly mean artistic. Creativity is outside of the box thinking and ideas. It’s the random, intuitive ideas and inspiration that is sparked with us. It is the intelligent life force creating / “sparking” to life.)
After all, creativity doesn’t make money, doesn’t save lives, isn’t secure and stable, etc.
I’m sure you’ve heard those things or even have had them said to you.
The starving artist. The dreamer stuck in their fantasy land. The struggling to make ends meet.
Yeah, it’s pretty depressing. That we are taught to think this way.
Thank God in this Age of Aquarius we have made leaps and bounds in creativity and creative careers.
And if you look at show biz, you’ll see that creative careers have big rewards and make lots of money. Music, Acting, Artists, Etc.
It’s possible. Now, more than ever before it’s possible.
Honor your creativity
If your creative mind & spirit wasn’t seen or honored and validated for you growing up, I want you to take a moment to do so now.
Hand on your heart, pressing firmly.
Eyes closed, deep breaths in & out, and feeling yourself come into the space beneath your hand within your heart.
Feel your being and give yourself full acceptance & love, honoring your creativity as a sacred, divine expression and connection to The Creator.
The Creative Muse
Creativity is the Muse of The Divine within us, asking us to create unmanifested life force energy into creation on Earth.
It is alive. It lives in a quantum, unmanifested space within us and beyond us. It is as alive as you and me.
It’s the spark of life, inspiration within us that moves us, because it is alive, beyond our current circumstances. Can you trust & ride the wave it takes you on?
Every creative piece birthed through us takes us deeper into love.
As we cycle through the full process of creation, it shows us all of our shadows and asks us to confront our ego, our fears, & limitations with courage, love, strength, & persistence.
