At the top of the mountain, it is the steadfast, persistant goat that looks over all of it’s arduous trek up and is all the wiser now for continuing where others gave up.

Understanding Capricorn; the Goat

Capricorn is a Cardinal Earth sign and transitions the season of Fall into Winter.

Capricorn is the Sea Goat, an unusually interesting mythical creature that we will explore later on. The season of Capricorn spans from about December 21 to January 19 and is ruled by the planet of karma, Saturn.

Constellations-wise, Capricornus, is Latin for “horned goat”.

It is the smallest constellation in the zodiac which is interestingly synchronistic to Saturn’s energy of “limitations”. The mythology of Saturn is associated with the Greek Cronos, both aspects considered to have ushered a Golden Age of Peace & Abundance. *

*I share my thoughts about this at the end.

Capricorn energy is very

  • Calculated

  • Resilient

  • Long-term focused

  • Serious / Somber

  • Philosophical / Stoic

  • Depressed (had to throw that in there!)

  • Minimalistic

  • Practical & Skeptical

  • Business Minded - CEO

  • M-A-S-T-E-R-F-U-L

What to expect

Capricorn energy is cardinal, it is here to initiate creation in the Earth Element which is the Earthly, material plane of life. It deals with “tangible” structures and plans.

Contrary to its “initiating” nature, as are cardinal elementals, Capricorn focuses on “long-term” stability. These types can “plan out” structures that are focused on longevity such as constructing blueprints, maps, and guidelines that are then “created” for the benefit of others, groups, the upholding of society, traditions, etc.

They can be considered “social enforcers” if they are heavily involved with society. They have the necessary developed Shakti to gaze upon the external world to see how it needs an earthy element that it excels at initiating into creation

So, for this reason, they can have a lot of “ideas” that form when they are interacting in group settings and environments.

Emotionally, they come off as reserved, “cold”, and refined. These are more elegant/conservative types. They value the maintenance of society, therefore they value adhering to social norms and expectations and can climb up the ladders of success to claim that social prestige, status that they yearn for, and to be recognized within society as.

They care to be IN society and be at the TOP of society, looked up to in admiration LOL.

While Saturn binds one to reality, through the material plane and time, it also binds one’s ability to connect to the spiritual realm & “access” our true inherent powers. Hence why Capricorns/Saturn dominants are the biggest skeptics ever.

Your questionnaire

  1. What is the long-term goal you are working towards?

    • Being clear on this & working towards it diligently will help you feel accomplished & proud of yourself.

    • Consider having 1 big goal for your year.

  2. Where in your life can you use more practicality & a grounded “realistic” approach?

    • Get your head out of the clouds because you need to work on the earth plane to bring your dreams to life.

  3. How patient & accountable are you?

    • You may want to consider an accountability buddy.

    • Efforts without patience are wasted. Some dreams take “time”.

  4. What is your relationship with Faith?

    • Can you trust that there is something greater leading you in your life?

    • Your extreme skepticism can block your blessings.

  5. Do you allow others to support you?

    • You don’t have to do it all alone, you can trust the people you choose to build relationships with.

    • YOU don’t always need to be the one there for them, especially for them to value you. It should be mutual.

5 tips for moving through Capricorn Season

  1. Create your plans & goals

    • Stability & practicality are the themes

  2. Be vulnerable & genuine

    • We love to see your true self, not the one hiding behind your mask of social niceness.

  3. Step into your expertise with confidence

    • You are masterful at your craft, show up as the leader you are.

  4. Be patient & don’t fall whim to your emotions + mind

    • See it through until the completion

  5. Know that your success is inevitable

    • This is the key to releasing struggle & hardship (internally)

    • Acknowledge your expertise & commitment to working on your area of interest

An interesting note

Why was Saturn the one who ushered in a Golden Age?

In today’s age, Saturn is a heavy, limiting force. It brings immense darkness and struggle.

If we look deeper, it is an “external” struggle that Saturn brings, and the only path to elevate its burdens is to go within and awaken to the inner light & the creational nature of the soul.

To be in alignment with divine, cosmic order.

Saturn is exalted in Libra, the harbinger of justice because it is in natural resonance with Saturn as the enforcer of Karma; the consequences of the actions we choose from our ”free will.”

Do I believe Saturn would be the “creator” of a golden age? No, that would be the Sun; the light that burns away darkness (from my current understanding of astrology).

It makes more sense that THE SUN, as also the “remedy” to Saturnian darkness, was the initiator, while Saturn is the “maintainer” of this beautiful cosmic order, in oneness to Truth & the Divine.

Just my musings upon that! I am open to being wrong.

That’s all!

I hope you enjoyed this piece on Capricorn’s energy and can utilize this cosmic energy to its highest potential.

How are you planning for the fruits of your efforts? Happy Capricorn Season blessings.

xoxo
