The perfect guide for Taurus Season

White cow (circa 1895)  |  Paul Sérusier (French, 1864 - 1927)

Can you smell that sensual sweetness of spring in the air?

Now is the season of stubborn persistence, after the spontaneous, courageous action that Aries championed as the start of the Spring Season after the dead cold of Winter.

In nature, those first blooms must persist to keep growing. Funnily enough, now that the drafts of winter have been shoo-ed away by the Sun, nature will grow by luxuriating under the warmth of our precious Life Source Star.

How’s that for “hard work”, haha.

If you’re new to Astrology, or just want a refresher, here’s your complete guide to welcoming in this energy!

Here’s what I’m covering in this article:

  1. Understanding Taurus; the bull

  2. What to expect

  3. Your questionnaire

  4. 5 tips for moving through this Taurus Season

Understanding Taurus; the bull.

Taurus is a fixed earth sign that takes the first blooms of Spring and steady, slowly builds its growth. Taurus is symbolized by The Bull and tentatively begins April 20th to end on May 20th.

Taurus is ruled by Venus, who is the Roman Goddess of love, beauty, & fertility counterpart to the Greek Goddess Aphrodite.

Taurus energy is all about:

  • building upon the first growths of Spring

  • slow and steady persistence

  • soft and gentle sensuality

  • deeply connected to the body & senses

  • connected to the inherent rich, fertile abundance of life

  • Stubborn af!!!! (this is a fixed sign ya’ll lol)

  • Moves at their own pace in their own time

  • S-T-A-B-I-L-I-T-Y

  • refuses to grow, stays in the comfort zone too long when in a shadow energy

Taurus is the dependable consistency that is required to have fruitful, long lasting, sustainable growth.

Haven’t you heard that consistency and repetition are required for REAL change? Well, it’s true!

What to expect

This is the perfect season to learn to build foundations, systems, and structures that work.

Taurus is the first Earth sign of the Zodiac and it’s all about moving slowly.

The tale of the tortoise and the hare racing, with the slow tortoise winning the race first is exactly the story that symbolizes the Taurusian energy.

In our day and age now, it’s soooo “hustle, productivity, and going as fast as you can” orientated.

But it is actually through building those first foundations meticulously, thoroughly, and by taking your sweet time that you can build something true that lasts the tests of time.

So, if you’ve had any new ideas or projects started from last Aries Season, this is now when you take that passion and turn it into sustainable growth. Give that inspired energy a structure and patiently come to it consistently to water it so it grows.

You may also unconsciously begin examining your own relationships to stability in your life. The stability of your relationships, work, finances, health, etc. And from this stability, look to see if it is actually nourishing.

Is the Earth and soil your life is planted in fertile and capable of giving life to yourself and your dreams?

You will find that this is an energy that is unswayed by the responsibilities of life and will stubbornly persist.

So what if it’s hard right now? That’s reality. And if you want something that lasts, you’re going to have to endure and move through any hardships with an absolutely admirable persistence.

AND also know the beauty, pleasure, and sensual luxury of moving slowly and lavishly taking your sweet time.

It’s not all hard work

How does slowly building something up and taking your time have anything to do with the Venusian qualities of beauty, pleasure, sensuality, and luxury?

Let’s think in terms of building in sensual intimacy. * cough cough foreplay cough cough*

The pleasure that can come from not hastily rushing. The slow and thorough pace of sensual activities. (Like taking a bath, a massage, lotioning up your body).

It’s a commitment to a nourishing ritual that is building your inner foundations with yourself. As well as enjoying your earthly experience of life.

That’s how I see this connection with Taurus, an Earth sign to the Realm of Venus and her sensualities.

Now that we’ve covered that, here are a few questions to ask yourself during Taurus season to have the best time moving through this energy.

Your questionnaire

  1. What is your relationship with structure and stability like?

    • In what area of your life do you desire to feel more grounded and stable in?

  2. Do you have a deep sense of commitment to your life goals/projects?

    • If not, what has your relationship with commitment been like?

    • And how would you like it to be?

    • What do you feel like stops/prevents you?

  3. Do you practice sensuality? Self-care?

    • What does the relationship look like with those?

  4. Do you have spaciousness, slow intentional living, and pleasure in your life?

    • Do these exist in your life? If so, how?

  5. Brainstorm rituals, no matter how small, that you can commit to on the daily to connect with yourself intentionally and ground into your body, senses, and self-love.

    • Ex: Lotion your legs, arms, feet at night before bed.

If you’re serious about the self-reflection to build a solid, nourishing foundation for yourself, do this questionnaire!!

5 tips to move through this season

  1. Build your relationship to consistency

    • What you are desiring to have in life, comes from building and creating it.

    • Creating the containers and structures to hold and sustain it.

  2. Create reliable rituals and practices to do daily

    • This is a game changer, trust me.

    • If you are very emotional or in your mind too much, this is what you need.

  3. Be in it for the long haul

    • Patience is a virtue when you know what you’re working towards

    • Know your goal and connect to the journey of the practice and embodiment it takes

  4. Cultivate daily pleasure and presence

    • You get to feel good and enjoy the earthly plane too

    • Spirituality becomes grounded when you connect to the Earth and your body in a loving, nourishing, sensual way.

    • Find the rituals and practices that feel best for you. This is ultimate about deep presence, which happens in the body.

  5. Allow yourself to move slowly

    • Don’t rush it, there’s no need.

    • Rome wasn’t build in a day. And you can’t build a house without a steady foundation.

    • All of this work now of building persistence, dedication, and stability will pay off when you take your time to do it.

That’s all for you! Hope you enjoy your exploration with sensuality and the slow, steady persistence of this earthy energy.

Personally, I’m working on my daily practices and allowing myself to follow my rhythm in an intentional way.

I believe we could all use some more self-love and presence in our lives and this is the perfect energy to embody.
